I have
always had an interest in
goats, but other obligations
have stood in the way of
pursuing that interest.
Pygmy goats, in particular,
enchanted me, with their
adorable faces and their
engaging personalities.
I finally decided to pursue
that interest in 2003 and
began to earnestly search for
a pygmy to call my own.
I soon discovered that every
pygmy needs another pygmy
buddy, so the desire to have
just one led to two, which led
to....I think you get the
drift! So my husband and
I soon selected a herd name
and Bluebonnet Acres became a
reality. At the NPGA
National in Shreveport, LA in
2004, I fell in love with a
caramel buck and after much
begging and pleading over
several months, his breeder
allowed him to become our
first herd sire. Which
of course, led to a few more
does.... So I hope you
will explore our site and
enjoy the pictures of our
small herd. |
